U.S. School Supports Xavier

April 16, 2011

St. Mary’s Elem. School of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, run by the Sisters of St. Dominic learned through Mrs. Marsha Sega, one of their faculty members and long-time friend of Xavier’s Director, Fr. Dave Andrus, that Xavier is in need of classroom crucifixes. St. Mary’s students and staff have taken on this project for this Lenten Season. They have made the crucifixes themselves and will be sending them to Xavier soon to adorn the walls of all our classrooms. St. Mary’s is giving a good example to us all of Lenten almsgiving for which we are very grateful. God’s blessings upon them all!
